Mark 3:20-35
Where are you on your spiritual journey and how does that influence the interventions that the world needs? Where are you located with Jesus? Are you at his feet, being taught by him to address the social, economic, political & physical problems that people around you face each day? Or are your actions contradicting what you profess?
Jesus Christ is more interested in us doing God’s will than us calling ourselves his family. As Rev. Stephen Jennings said Jesus made a distinction between his immediate family and those who were spiritually connected to him. His immediate family did not initially get him, thought he was crazy but Jesus made allowance for that. He knew that belief in him was a process and this journey would eventually lead them to be world changers. So at that point he focused on those in front of him doing God’s will.
What has God called you specifically to do that you have abandoned, put aside, waiting on the right time? Guess what?
Now is the time! God wants us to serve him now and make a difference in the world now. People are hungry now, people need love now, people need healing now. Too often we are focused on image projecting but image is nothing, substance and character are everything. Let’s stop delaying but instead empty ourselves in the service of others. Jesus wasn’t afraid to go without food or time off in order to minister to the needs of others. What about us?
Let’s look at the setting and the symptoms around us and repent of our selfishness, our treating kingdom of God work as madness. We need to go back to Jesus, get our spiritual compass reset, passionately pick back up the cause and present solutions to these problems transforming our world!
Prayer:
Father we come repenting of not putting ourselves in the place to do the will of God. As you set the field help us to be in the right place to take the catch for you.
