PSALM 138:8 NLT ” The LORD will work out his plans for my life”.
Sometimes we are worried about our future : where we are going and how we will get there? Well, according to this verse the LORD WILL work out the plans for our lives. Now the Scripture does not say may but will. This lets us know that it is a certainty not a probability. So why worry!! Yet we do it any way especially when we see the impossibilities grinning at us daring us not to believe. But let us hold on IN FAITH like the faithful of old, to name a few,: Gideon, Barak, Samson, David, Rahab, Ruth, Evelyn, Claudie (last two my grandparents, others Hebrews 11:32) whose weaknesses were turned to strength as they watched God worked out the plans He had for their lives in the presence of their enemies.
So this week, let us look the impossible in the face and believe with all confidence the words of the sharp and quick two-edged sword spoken by God Himself:
“For I know the plans I have for you…They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. I will be found by you….” (Jeremiah 29:11-14a).
So when worry comes knocking run it wey and buss a prayer to get strength to press on.
PRAYER:
Father God help us to see the big picture and vision that you have planned for us. If that is too much for us, give us even a little glimpse so that we nuh faint wey. Daddy we call on you now seeking you with all our hearts and wanting your purpose for our lives to be fulfilled. Forgive us for worrying about our future and our plans instead of yours. Help us be like your Son Jesus who for the joy set before him put his plans on hold and did your will instead. so in that same Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
