Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8)

Amazing how your life can be changed when earth shaking events happen! A loved one dies or moves out of your life, you lose your job or your best friend decides that this friendship is no longer important.  When these events happen you feel lost and incomplete. At a moment’s notice your eyes are filled with tears and hopelessness washes over you.  It is at these times when your heart is so full that you need to pour out all your thoughts, feelings to someone who understands you better than you understand yourself. Guess what God Almighty is the perfect companion !   Our heavenly Father is never to busy to hear our hearts’ cries.  God is always present and he loves our honesty, he is not afraid to hear us telling him our fears, and feelings. He will not run away or cover his ears when we rant and rave.  He tells us that there is no place where we can go and he is not there ” I can never escape from your Spirit ! I can never get away from your presence” (Psalm 139:7 ). God wants us to make our thoughts, feelings and wills transparent to Him for when we do that we will encounter God’s presence, power, peace, pardon, protection and provision. As Rev. Dr.Stephen Jennings said in Bible Study on Wednesday “Blessed are those who come to God honestly, openly, saying how we feel, what we think and what we really want to do, then we will sense God with &  for us, his strengthening , forgiveness, protection and provision”.(Matthew 5:8).

So as we travel through the various seasons of our lives let us not keep in all our thoughts, feelings and wills but pour them out like fountains before God who is patiently waiting to share with us. Come with all your burdens and lay them down at the foot of the cross. Jesus is praying for you right now.  Please know that you don’t have to feel hopeless, alone or incomplete as God is just a prayer away.

Father we come before you honestly and openly.  We are filled with pain as we experience loss and go through these transitions.  Thanks for your salvation so that we can come boldly before your throne with all of us.
