There are times in your life that you need new strength to cope with everyday living.  You feel empty, tired and burdened.  The thing is that this can happen at the beginning of the week or in the middle or at the end of the work week.  Sometimes you feel it in the middle of a very busy day, at any time.

When this happens, I immediately want to be transported to a spa where I get the full works: full body massage, facial, manicure, sauna, pedicure and the list goes on.  The spa represents a getaway from all the stress that saps away our strength. This fix is temporary in nature.

However, in Psalm 23 we are transported to the Lord’s spa that offers us the opportunity to be refreshed restored all over permanent.  There are provisions that cannot be replicated by anyone else or anything else.  Jesus stands at the door of His spa and invites us to come inside and experience all He has to offer.  Hear Him describe it to you:

 “Come, everyone who is thirsty, here is water! Come, you that have no money… Why spend money on what does not satisfy?  Why spend your wages and still be hungry? Listen to me and do what I say and you will enjoy the best food of all. (Isaiah 55:1-2).

At the Spa de Jesus all those who are experiencing dryness, a thirstiness in their spirit have been issued with a special invitation.  The Chief Shepherd provides for our needs, gives us rest, nourishes us beside refreshing waters, issues new strength, creates a big splash for us in front of our enemies, goes with us through the valley of the shadow of death and protects us, anoints us with his oil and overflows our cup and sends his goodness and mercy to follow us all the days of our life.  Who would not want that at this time ?

So what are you waiting for? You can experience Jesus’ spa right now.  Unlike the normal spa you don’t have to have money. Come as you are and be ready to be transformed and renewed as He replaces the world standards with His own.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.

You will never be the same again.  So don’t delay total new strength and wonderful times await you.  Begin now. Today is first day of the rest of your abundant, nourishing saved life.

PRAYER

Jesus we come to your spa for nourishment and refreshing.  We need it to cope in this world that seeks to sap all our strength.  Amen
